Innovative Laurentian Volleyball Products

THE KEVLAR CABLE NET (505002)
New to Laurentian Athletics Industries (1970) Ltd this fall is THE KEVLAR CABLE NET.  Imported from Italy, this lightweight 32’ Polypropylene mesh net will work with any of our volleyball post.  The Kevlar Cable Net features a 5mm nylon-coated top cable, a 6mm nylon bottom cable and four post-tying straps.  At 8lbs. this net is 20% lighter than our steel cable alternative which translates into easier set-up, less stress on the posts over time and less chance for sagging.  The Kevlar Cable Net also comes with two Velcro antennae holders and two antennae that collapse for easy storage. 

THE LEO71 FOUR GAME POST (500333)
Meticulously designed and crafted in-house THE LEO71 is a one-of-a-kind adjustable game post that combines the net positions of four different games:  Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis and Pickleball.  The LEO71 ‘s versatility comes from the combination of two shafts.  The high-strength aluminum-extruded inner shaft features a multi-spring balanced core that allows for infinite net height adjustments between 76cm and 250cm.  The back-tilted steel outer shaft sits vertical when under tension, requires no guy wires or floor anchoring and can be custom made to fit any floor socket (it comes standard at 1 7/8”).

The LEO71 is specifically made for institutions where space and set-up time are limited.  With a heavy-duty winch, ¼” ropes and clearly marked standard net heights, the LEO71 can transition from one position to another in seconds.  With its spring-loaded design and with Cobra choke short-leaders you can be assured that once you set up your net, it will stay securely in place.   For setting up multiple concurrent games, such as during tournament or in-class play a Center Post will be available soon.

THE SELF-STORING CART (500223)
We are also introducing a new way to transport posts from the storage room to the play area.  THE SELF-STORING CART can hold multiple posts in a vertical position and comes with four wheels and a pull-handle that.  The Self-Storing Cart will work with any posts but when used exclusively with the LEO71, the cart will easily fit through any door with an 82” clearance.  This means that posts never have to be placed horizontally and a single person could set up the entire playing area with minimal time or effort. And, with the added NET STORAGE ATTACHMENT (500224A), you can easily store multiple nets tangle-free.

New Matting

Laurentian Athletics is adding even more products to our existing line of protective padding, which is all made at our Brampton location.

Most recently, we have developed a Nap/Exercise Mat which is ideal for use by small children.  At 24" x 60" it can be used for naps thanks to its foldable head rest, light exercise where some extra padding is needed, and even for Yoga.  These mats are made with 1 1/2" soft foam and 15oz vinyl and convenient nylon handle for easy transportation.

From standard products such as the Nap Mat to custom jobs, Laurentian Athletics is always up to the task.  Not too long ago we provided matting for a Soccer facility that was looking to add padding to its garage doors.  The result was increased safety while at the same time maintaining functionality of the garage doors.

Made with 2" foam and durable 18oz vinyl with 4" Velcro, these pads will ensure the safety of countless soccer players for years to come.

Not only does Laurentian pursue the development of new products, but we also strive to make existing products even better.  One example of this is our Uni-Post Pads.  We have recently redeveloped these pads to include even more coverage to the posts and by extension, added safety for the players.  Made with 2" foam and 18oz vinyl with Velcro fasteners, these pads now extend all the way to the floor now and complement our Uni-Posts perfectly.
